Security & compliance
GS RichCopy 360 moves some of your most sensitive unstructured data between servers, NAS, and cloud storage — so it is engineered for security from the ground up.
How GS RichCopy 360 protects your data
Security is built into the architecture, not bolted on — from encryption and credential handling to the path your data actually travels.
Encryption in transit
Transfers can be secured with AES-128 or AES-256 encryption, accelerated by CPU instruction sets for minimal performance impact.
Bound, encrypted credentials
Credentials are encrypted at rest and bound to the installation. Moving the database to another machine invalidates them and forces reauthentication.
Direct data paths
Data moves directly between your source and destination. No customer data transits GuruSquad infrastructure or networks.
Native OS integration
All file operations use native Windows and .NET APIs, including NTFS permission handling and Volume Shadow Copy Service (VSS).
Least-privilege model
Least privilege by default, with controlled elevation only where advanced file-system operations genuinely require it.
Logging & audit
Configurable logging captures timestamps, user IDs, and file hashes, with adjustable job-history retention for compliance.
Security documentation
